Loved the first setting but I somehow completely lost interest starting chapter 2. The atmosphere was very different and I didn't click with the writing style at all. 50 pages in and. Struggle to pick up the book again. From what I've seen, this is very much Tell don't Show, which just isn't what I enjoy. I'm moving on before I slide into a reading slump. I do still think that it is great to have more diverse books and I'm happy to see that a book with a lot of representation is so beloved in general.
