I loved this book! …but I didn't really expect anything less, as I liked the first one so much. It's the kind of book that leaves me feeling a little empty when I've finished it, because I didn't want it to end. Quite different from the first book – it turned into a right swashbuckling tale for one thing. As I love pirates and tales of the sea, that was fine by me but I can understand why some people might think this was not the best follow-up. There were still plenty of twists in the story that I didn't see coming and heart-wrenching emotional moments. I don't doubt I'll read book three… soon.
