The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse by Charlie Mackesy

4.0

A exquisitely illustrated short story chalk full of life lessons and tidbits to mull over. Anyone can read this book and anyone can find beauty in the poetry and simple presentation. This is one of those books, however, that you need to be in the right place at the right time to be receptive to the beautiful messages. It's also a book to pluck off the shelf in times of inspiration or need to be uplifted. Perhaps my favorite sentiment is: "One of our greatest freedoms is how we react to things"

This quick read is a wonderful shelf addition for all ages.
