House of Hunger by Alexis Henderson

I absolutely LOVED this! This is a very rare occasion where I'd actually love to see a sequel, because I would really like to dive into this world again and revisit the concept of the "bloodmaids." I just found it so interesting, and I wanted more!

There was more gore than I expected, although I guess that's my bad because what should I expect from a book about people who choose to give their blood for others to drink? I was pleasantly surprised to find myself actually shocked by a couple of the scenes though, particularly any of them that involved teeth.

I'll definitely be reading from this author again. I loved her writing, and I was easily sucked in from page one. Glad I can finally cross this one off of my TBR, it was on there for far too long lol
