Interesting take on American consumerism and Right Wing media conspiracies… however, I found this book to be bland and plotless. Poppy and Amy (the dog) were the only likeable characters in the entire book. I think the sisters’ relationship to each other and their family was the highlight of the novel, but was never fully realized. Jules was the most insufferable protagonist I’ve read in a while.
