Daisy Jones & The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid
4.0
I would be doing this an absolute disservice by not giving it at least four stars. This is sex, drugs, and rock in roll in its entirety, yes, but it is also a deep dive into oblivious artists. Told in entirely interviews, this is basically Fleetwood Mac fanfiction. Several of the stories conflict and some refuse to comment at all on certain subjects. I am obsessed. I’m upset the band doesn’t exist because I want to hear the songs so bad. There’s a tv show now but I’m so scared that I won’t like the music or actors. This audiobook had a FULL cast which added so much to the experience. You love and hate all of them, but ultimately just track how broken and egotistical they are. Everyone’s personalities are fantastic and the characters come alive incredibly. I will admit that it’s a little slow, but as I was afraid it wouldn’t live up to the hype (it did) it’s fantastic. I didn’t realize this was the Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo author and I think I enjoyed this more! I found it more dynamic than Hugo (also I’m a bands girl it was gonna be like that).
