Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn

4.0

I enjoyed the first half of this book, with the mystery and things. The end was kind of... anticlimactic but somehow still insane. Amy and Nick were both very unlikeable, but i feel that could be intentional. Amy was psychotic. I really enjoyed the diary aspect of the novel because i felt it gave us a look inside the persona that Amy had been creating all along. We pitied her, we felt bad for her. And then it's this big turn around and it's like.. "Whoops... gotcha. I'm actually psychotic and anytime someone does something that even slightly upsets me I turn on them and strive to make their lives miserable." overall, I enjoyed it but it wasn't the grand scheme and mystery i was expecting, even though it did keep me entertained.
