Wolfsong by TJ Klune
5.0
I don't know how to adequately talk about this book. The first thing I wonder is where TJ Klune has been all my life. When I finished [b:The House in the Cerulean Sea|45047384|The House in the Cerulean Sea|T.J. Klune|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1569514209l/45047384._SY75_.jpg|62945242] a couple weeks ago, I just couldn't believe I hadn't heard of him before. After finishing Wolfsong, I think I can safely say that he's a special one. This is one of those rare authors whose books consume my life, who can extract actual yells and shrieks from me at the climax of a book. Wolfsong couldn't be more different from Cerulean Sea, which is a testament to the strength of Klune's writing.
This book is a paranormal romance, with werewolves, witches, and small town drama - and somehow, it fully sidesteps cheesiness. Ox is such a strong voice and character, and all the book's many supporting characters are clear and defined. I devoured this book about family, grief, friendship, and love and I need to read the rest of the series immediately.
