Scoring the Keeper by Hayden Hall
4.0
Oh well, while I have to say that this may not be the most original plot (the jock needs the nerd's help to pass a class and the nerd needs help to learn the art of dating), I have to say that I loved the book . Maybe it has to do with the fact that I like how Hayden brings the characters to life, maybe it's because you can see the chemistry between them, or maybe it's because I just like his college stories, but I loved this book.
Sawyer is the goalie of the hockey team, he is popular, and he doesn't date, although he is a well-known fuckboy on campus. But when he meets Noah, he soon feels attracted to him, and a part of him that he didn't even know himself comes out. Noah feels pigeonholed in his life, ever since he won an important award as a teenager. That, plus the pressure from his parents to always have to improve himself, and his own feeling of inadequacy, prevented him from having fun as a teenager and young adult, and since he is determined to change that now, the opportunity presents itself when he meets Sawyer. And although it doesn't turn out as originally planned, the result ends up being much better.
From the first moment, Sawyer, with his open and laid back attitude, although on the outside and in front of everyone else he seems indifferent and melancholic, makes Noah relax and feel comfortable with him, and an easy friendship is born between them that soon blossoms, and then becomes into more. Their relationship feels natural, they complement each other perfectly, and as I said, the chemistry between them is instantly noticeable and incredible.
I'm looking forward to Caden and Becket's story!!!
