Love Is a Revolution by Renée Watson
5.0
This was a fantastic coming of age and romance book that I would certainly recommend reading. I’m around the same age as the characters where I’m also about to go into my senior year of high school so I really found points where I could relate to the characters. Adding onto that, this summer like the rest of the teen characters from this book I’m planning on working this either though the means of an actual job or volunteer work. I don’t just relate to the main character Nala just because of those two reasons but also because I can relate to her feelings, insecurities and just her character in general in different cases.
But back to the book, all in all if you wanna read this book I was recommended having tissues next to you because if you’re like me there will probably be moments where the waterworks will come. I mean that’s kinda what I get for reading yet another romance book this year but eh, I’d do it again. On the other hand I originally had my mind set on rating this book four stars but then I read a familiar quote from my favorite movie and couldn’t miss the opportunity because just seeing and reading it almost made me cry
P.S. Everyone deserves a Tye Brown ok this world :)
