I'm honestly surprised that this book is being rated so harshly by others but I'm not very harsh with my ratings either. I had a good time with this book and I really liked the premise. I thought the switching of timelines was clever and fit together well. I wasn't expecting the supernatural element at all, but it wasn't unwelcomed, I thought it was a fun twist. and I have never read this author before so I'd be interested so see if they have some other titles that pique my interest as well
