The Waves by Virginia Woolf

Did not finish book. Stopped at 4%.
I tried reading this on Kindle and I tried a combination of Kindle and audiobook. I failed at both. It was boring and I didn’t care for the continuously descriptive prose. It was monotonous. Perhaps that was Woolf’s intention - that her narrative be as tedious and monotonous as the waves are. I don’t care and don’t want to waste my time reading nonsense while there are so many fantastic books to read.

I’ve read Woolf’s A Room of One’s Own which I enjoyed and Mrs. Calloway which was alright. Don’t know that I’ll read more from her. We have trouble getting along!
