4.5-bumped-to-5 stars. I honestly just thought this was going to be sex, but was pleasantly surprised by the plot. Funny, sexy, and with a hint of dark romance, this hit all my boxes plus some.

The miscommunication trope is strong in this one, though, which is partially why it’s a 4.5 for me. I’m excited for the next installment, though, and really, can’t wait to see how everything ultimately will end at the end of the series.
