"...the siren voices cried to me to lose myself in the wildest waters.
And I — drowning."
There is no denying that Jay Griffiths can weave beauty into almost every line she writes. For her, more is more. My issue with this book is I was expecting a memoir and was given an essay on Greek mythology and the etymology of language. The first two chapters were fantastic. After that, I was willing it to be over.
