Harry, a History: The True Story of a Boy Wizard, His Fans, and Life Inside the Harry Potter Phenomenon by Melissa Anelli

5.0

Harry, A History was such an amazingly nostalgic read for me. It put me back into being a teenager reading the Harry Potter books for the first time. I hadn't started reading the Harry Potter books when they had first been released into the states. I was 15, my Aunt had brought me a copy to read on the drive from my house to DC to babysit my cousin for the simmer. I remember falling into a consuming world of magic that felt almost real to me. Melissa's book does the same. Her writing style evokes powerful memories and emotions you had about the series but have long since forgotten.

Melissa's wonderful voice again helps you relive the wonder that was the build up for the next book in the series, or the next movie. The excitement of reading mugglenet or the Leaky's sites. And now that I've finished her book I feel the need to go back and reread the series so I can once again experience the magic of the Harry Potter universe.
