Im not finished with this one yet but im about 90% through and don't have the energy for it. It had potential but just didn't hit the mark for me. I picked it up because it was pitched to me to be "perfect for those who wanted Zuko and Katara to get together" and while i absolutely see the inspiration, it just needed some overall work to be a better story for me. The writing is a bit all over the place, the characters are very interesting and there's some mild world building, but I feel like there was a lot of telling when it came to the characters thoughts and emotions, so much so that I didnt actually connect with any of them because it wasnt set up in a way that made me connect with their emotions. Futhermore, they were so back and forth on how they felt about each other that I didn't even get the enemies to lover vibes that I thought I was getting. Don't get me wrong, the premise itself was very interesting, it's definitely different enough from the inspiration that it's a completely different story, I just need a bit more polishing and structure in the fantasy that I read.
