Authors rarely get miscommunication trope right, and this is another one that wasn't executed well.
Wow, that's great that they still ended up finding each other but knowing that Stone wouldn't have contacted Cash if they didn't accidentally become boss/employee still pisses me off. Wow, you're working through your trauma but no fucking word for the man that you love that you left so suddenly. Like, having experience Cash's situation but on a more minor level, it's bullshit. You say you love him and yet you  didn't even think about saying goodbye. I don't know, Stone could've done ANYTHING. You don't hurt the people you love. You especially don't leave them for five years and the only reason you explain why you left was because they come back to your life by chance, no effort on your part. I believe in second chances, I just don't care for people who don't reach out even after realizing they've made a mistake/hurt the person they love. Especially with all the love confessions this book had. "I can't live without you" my ass, you guys did.

Originally 3/5 stars but I got angry while writing this review so I'm turning it down to a 2.
