The tenth installation in the epic and one of its best. Everything is working in this novel. The writing is bright, the arc is perfectly conceived and the universe of characters marches on. It amazes me that even this late in the series Powell is still refining and opening up central characters as well as casting memorable new ones. Hard to believe there are only two books left.
