A Curious Beginning by Deanna Raybourn

I expected more. The main character was too prefect in other words she was not a character she was a combination of some good characteristics which made the story boring as hell. The story was not convincing at all for example why the hell sir Hugo should've believed that she has destroyed the evidence of her birth. And lot's of other plot defects.
The character of Stoker was a cliche and i love cliche if it have something remotely new for me. But it has not. The author tried to add some details that we haven't seen before but the guy was the random bad tempered and kinda cool guy with a dark history. And yes he was a navyman a surgeon and a scientist at the same time in the age of thirty.
Story had some erotic moments that made your heart beat and i dare say these few moments were the only reason that i keep up. But from a point all of it ended and their boring adventures was the only thing in novel.
Ah and I'm something of a femenist myself but i think feminism was used very often but not that good or realistic for the era.
And the whole her being a princess was absurd and kinda obvious from an early point.
I would not recommend it even if you want to read sth really basic and full of adventure lot's of things can do better..
