Reckless Girls by Rachel Hawkins
3.0
I’m just binging all of her thrillers (on the last and most recent one already), and I enjoy them all for what they are. It’s a smooth, quick read, with a good pace. This one maybe a bit more wobbly in the middle and slightly repetitive. But I enjoyed discovering everyone’s secrets (or seeing if my guesses were right). I always enjoy a horror/thriller in the bright sun, but while I was still entertained, I thought this lacked tension. Wish I’d been a bot more on the edge of my seat. It did have the OTT ending befitting this kind of story and that I wish The Villa and The Wife Upstairs had committed to. These books might be my gateway into thrillers lol (I call them cozy thrillers in my head because they don’t seem as dark and gritty as some I’ve seen on book lists)
