This was my second book by the author and it won’t be my last either.
I enjoyed it a lot and the ending left me wanting so much more from her characters and world.
It’s suspenseful and the growth happens so smoothly, it’s a very character driven plot and I’m loving it so far.
I usually go for a more mystery/thriller investigation type of story and this one surprised me in the best way.
It’s a gangster family drama and while the main characters try to showcase one another, there are other dangerous characters between the family members.
There are so many secrets between them all and Scarlet and Lily were just amazing. The mens in the family are so interesting as well, they will fight for their family no matter what happens.
I must admit that this gave me a lot of Peaky Blinders feels and I read some of these interactions in a mancunian voice and that made it so much more interesting.
There’s dangerous situations and some drama between the police and on the run and hide scenes plus the discovery of the mole.
Addictive and thrilling, this is a must read story.
Very grateful to the publisher for my review copy through NetGalley and my place in the blog tour.
