A Walk in the Park by Rebekah Weatherspoon
5.0
What an adorable story! As a dog lover, I was so excited to see how Zeus would affect Andre and Janelle's decision to be co-parents to a sweet rescue. I have never read any previous work by Weatherspoon, but this snippet of her writing style is very much what I like IF I read romance. A Walk in the Park was the perfect blend of good plot, likeable characters, and a little romance. Did I mention there was a dog involved? I love dogs and love love so this was a story after my own heart.
Not only do we get a great story, but we learn that love can find us in the most unexpected ways. That means that we need to be vigilant in breaking past our fears and worries because everybody is not out to hurt us. Plus, when there is a furry friend in the mix, like Zeus, then a dog smile and a wagging tail makes all things better.
If you've never thought you could get smiles or laughs from an Audible Original novella, then you are wrong. This was pawsitively great to listen to. The narrators did a swell job in making the story come to life and providing entertainment. I would definitely read more work by Rebekah Weatherspoon and would listen to the narrators' other works.
