I went into this series knowing there probably wouldn’t be many answers, but there was just nothing. Saul (the lighthouse keeper) kept me reading this third book, but I’m left feeling disappointed.

Another reader wrote in her review “don’t substitute vagueness with mystery” and I fully agree.
