The further we get from the Obama presidency, the more important their story feels to me. Michelle especially is an inspiration to me, as someone who didn't seek this kind of spotlight, but has taken on the responsibility with grace and quite a lot of humor. I loved learning about her upbringing and how she worked her way forward with everything she did. Just thinking about her story makes me feel a bit better, because there was a time not long ago when people of intelligence and compassion lived in the White House.
