Les Misérables by Victor Hugo

5.0

The day I finished Les Mis the book wasn't the only end. Jean Valjean was a constant companion for over a year. Other books came and went. Book club choices, brainless novels, Mike Mulligan, but Cosette, Javert and JVJ slept on the table next to the bed. Resting under the lamp until time available permitted the required chewing and digestion required to absorb a portion of a book as rich as Les Miserables. Finishing Les Mis was closure of a long relationship.

Where does one venture upon finishing Les Mis? What could possible match the lifelong redemptive tale of Jean Valjean? I'm open to suggestions.

I do know of one other. One where we could always spend more time. You?
