This is the sixth and final book in the Betrayal Series. Astrid and Theo have been through so much but it’s still not over. This book was so gut wrenching and heartbreaking. Theo and Astrid are trying to make this relationship work however, Bolton is still out there. Bolton is determined to get his wife back even though she no longer loves him. This book deals with the realities of Theo’s job and the life that Astrid would like to envision, although she admits Theo would be enough.
I loved that the bromance between Theo and Axel was showcased in this book and how the love and affection they have for one another nearly jumps off the page. This book shows true friendship and how people will sacrifice for others when they care about them. I especially loved the contrast between these two very strong, dominant men.
This book was so angsty and although I wanted it to come to a happy conclusion, I didn’t want it to end. I didn’t want to leave this world with Theo, Astrid, Axel and Scarlett. Penelope Skye has the ability to tell a story and make you love every single word of it. This six series book had me wrapped in its spell, reading all night long until it was finished. Every book was amazing and exciting. The story flowed and kept me on pins and needles and was ultimately very satisfying. Sad to see this series end, but loved every minute of it.
