This book is bound to become every animal lover's favorite. I loved this book. I love the voice of the dog and how, because of his perception of the world, a lot of the actions around him are conveyed so subtly. It's thought-provoking, heartfelt, and will make you look around the world in a different way.

I saw the movie and, while I thought it was pretty decent, its ending is nothing compared to the ending of this book. I won't spoil it, but let's just say the book goes a little bit beyond happily every after. Still, it is this ending that drives home the very purpose of this book.
