i sobbed for like 25 minutes after i finished. i hated (or was at least very mad at) sadie and sam on-and-off throughout the whole novel. i liked marx. i hope we can all learn to be more like marx. i liked each character in this book. all of the minor characters, even (except for red and black bandanas. iykyk). i liked all of the anna lees we met. i didnt agree with each character 100% of the time, but they were all so very human, and that’s what i care about. i rooted for everyone and wanted them all to be happy. i wish they could have been happier.
