Ace: What Asexuality Reveals about Desire, Society, and the Meaning of Sex by Angela Chen

4.0

I've come to the conclusion over the past year that I'm likely somewhere on the ace spectrum - demisexual sort of explains it the best, at least at the moment, but that term comes with a lot of questions from others. This book did help validate me and the feelings that many other people experience. Some of the contents of this book were things I already knew, but I especially liked the chapters that discussed the intersectionality between sexual orientation and race/disability. And the beginning of chapter 7 mayyyyy have come for my neck a bit lol.

The author put a lot of research time into this topic, and it shows. She handles the many nuances of the subject very well, and it was a good read.
