I thought was about an illicit relationship between two women when it is about an illicit relationship between a woman and a man. So it took me a minute to realize my mistake and adjust my expectations. Strong Wharton's AGE OF INNOCENCE vibes all around. This was a good book but the end is what makes it endure.
