This one is a nice continuation of the story and a lot of crying at the end, but it also could have been shorter since parts of this dragged a little and felt like they could have been a bit more easily resolved than they were.

I did love the introduction of new characters and most of those characters themselves, for the most part,
but—of course—my favorite of these new characters doesn’t even make it out of this book
. However, their storylines add a lot to this book that didn’t always come across as worth the time until the end. An ending that was good, but also felt a bit repetitive.

Our “twist” for the ending was also somewhat predictable and my least favorite trope. I’m hoping it pays off because at this point it’s kind of lazy when there are so many other ways Kristoff could be creating drama and so many ways he currently IS creating drama and moving characters into position to emotionally damage everything within the deepest parts of my soul. Everything to do with Kin in this one just made me irrationally angry, but then throw in the
accidental pregnancy
and I was over it all.

I have high hopes for the third in the series because I’ve made it too far to give up and the rest of this is just so good.
