Hyperbole and a Half by Allie Brosh

5.0

description

This book deserved all the 5 stars, and then some.

I love it. I love Brosh's characters (especially Simple Dog and Helper Dog). I love her intentionally crude drawing style. I love her hyperbolic sense of humor. I love it even more when she opened up about her depression and told it in such a way that makes me torn between laughing out loud and and crying full of sympathy and feeling like a monster because I found someone's experience of depression entertaining.

Perhaps it helps also that I have never stumbled upon Hyperbole and a Half, Brosh's uber-popular blog+webcomic, before (Don't know why. Don't know how. Don't ask). Everything feels new and fresh for me, and I enjoy it very much.
