Wow, I really liked this book!  Throughout this book, my heart simultaneously broke and soared for each of the 3 main characters.  For Tova, who has suffered great losses in her life.  For Cameron, who just wanted a family.  And, of course, for our curmudgeonly octopus, Marcellus, who has spent nearly his entire life in captivity.  I loved this story of found family so much, and will never see another octopus without thinking of Marcellus.
