Was expecting a bully romance instead I got a wonderful black cat fmc (Briar) and a golden retriever mmc (Thorne). Both come from two different backgrounds; he is from a very wealthy "do as I say" family, where she comes from a loving family. Both athletes even if her career was unfortunately cut short due to having to save her own life by jumping from a building that was on fire. Briar and Thorne worked so well together in the story that it really flowed and the ending was fabulous.

Now it is a love story, but it also is a little mystery because who shut the door on Briar and refused to help her when the building was on fire?
Heart of Thorns is a great choice if you are in the mood for an enjoyable, steamy read.
