Loathe to Love You by Ali Hazelwood

4.0

I’ve decided to mark and review these novellas in their not-yet-published-anthology form because my Goodreads 2022 “average page count” is embarrassingly low due to the number of manga, novellas, short stories, and Fear Street books that I have read this year… since I have the option to have these count as a single longer book, I’m going to take it. Even if said book technically isn’t out yet.

Under One Roof:

This was SO GOOD. I thought I was getting sick of the enemies-to-lovers trope but this was FANTASTIC. I think I have officially fallen in love with Ali Hazelwood. I recently read The Love Hypothesis which was amazing… and now this… She is on fire 🔥I am so annoyed that the wait list for the following two novellas is currently at “several months” at the library. I’m hoping that everyone reads and returns the books super fast so that that estimation is way off and I get them ASAP!

Below Zero:

I read this one out of order because that is how the holds happened to work out with my library. I did not like this one nearly as much as “Under One Roof”…
it seemed a bit far fetched that he would go through all the effort, time, and expense to fly out to Norway and rent a freaking boat and everything just in case something possibly went wrong with her expedition. Also, I actually JUST read another enemies-to-lovers NASA romance (The Astronaut and The Star) that was much better so my opinion of this one is being influenced by comparing it to that one.

This one was very good. I would say that it is my second favorite- not as good as Under One Roof, but much better than Below Zero. I really liked Erik and I liked their “situation” that led to Sadie hating him. And I like the Guinea pig.
