The Brooklyn Follies by Paul Auster
5.0
It doesn’t sound like the story of a 59-year-old divorced man with cancer looking for a place to die would be funny and heartwarming, but Auster has filled his novel with quirky characters of all ages who come together in a life-affirming way. It’s the little details and follies of life that Auster observes, ordinary people making mistakes, starting over and finding happiness.
