This is a new standalone, and features baseball, which I really enjoy. It takes a while to get to know the setting and the characters. At first it is frustrating because Connor is a bit of a pain and Jackson is too cautious and holds himself back. Connor gets his bi-awakening, which isn't treated as a big deal. His sister helps him navigate it so there is no big life altering moment. I wish they had gotten together a little bit sooner, the chemistry was building and building. The intimate scenes were a little tame and brushed over at times. I enjoyed the story and would love to read more baseball.
