Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn

5.0

Very well written book. Very accurately portrayed the mental state of Camille, the main character.
The only thing that I could complain about this book is the extremely triggering nature of it to anyone who has self harmed/cut, was an alcoholic, or had any other addictions of the like. It made my skin crawl with how accurate the scenes where she struggled with these addictions where way too accurate for me to handle. Those parts of the book hit very true to home for me, which made this book all the more enticing. I read through the whole thing in two sitting and squirmed in my seat at the mention of these thoughts.
Aside from that. It was an amazing read and Gillian Flynn is definitely on my favorite authors list now.
