I feel as though this is one of Cassandra Clare’s best books. The story line is absolutely amazing. I went through the whole book feeling like I was helping with the mystery of who killed Emma’s parents. This reminded me of a found family book but the family was already found and the love was just being built up more and more. Mark is truly in some way a male version of me. I loved the dry humor he brought to the book. Jace Herondale will always have a special place in my heart though. While seeing old characters from the Mortal Instruments books was so hard warming.
