Horrorstör by Grady Hendrix
4.5
Synopsis:
The Orsk furniture superstore has some strange things going on after hours. Employees show up for work in the mornings to find broken furniture, messes, and other things out of order. So when Amy and her fellow coworkers decide to work overnight to catch whoever's causing the destruction, they're met with more sinister beings than they expect.
My thoughts:
Horrorstör was such a fun read. I love that the book looks like an IKEA catalog, and I really enjoyed looking at all the furniture and little details included throughout it.
As I've said in my other reviews of books by Grady Hendrix, he does ridiculous and scary so well. Horrorstör is no exception to that and has definitely solidified itself as my favorite book by him. I found myself gasping in shock and laughing a few sentences later.
Not one part of this story dragged, the only reason I'm giving it a 4.5 instead of a 5 is because there were tiny little details that felt like they didn't get wrapped up by the end. It wasn't anything that impacted the overall story, but just a little thing that bothered me 😅
