The Hero of Ages by Brandon Sanderson

➸ 3/5 stars!
“There's always another secret.”

I feel like a lot of nothing happened in this book and I got really REALLY bored. Don’t get me wrong I love these characters but this book should NOT have been this long.

I started this with high expectations but none of them were truly met. With this series I have come to the conclusion that certain information is not told in the right areas. Some things that were found out in this book I would have rather found out in the second book instead or even the first one.

All in all this was all over the place but I didn’t wanna give up hope but by the time I was halfway through the book I knew I was gonna rate this 3 stars sadly. I relied on the audiobook mainly to finish this because I had given up. This was less fantasy and more of the characters just scrambling to achieve different goals.

There were so many different angles when it came to different characters that I didn’t care about. I don’t know if it was because I was reading the book rather than experiencing it in real time like the characters but I thought some of their decisions were dumb and not truly thought out.

I never thought I would say this but there were too many different POVs in this and I did not like the separation of the characters at different places. I don’t think it added a good narrative to the story.
