Two Boys Kissing by David Levithan

5.0

4,5 stars, my heart couldn't bare it to give it 4 stars on goodreads so I made it 5.

(this review is completely based on my own opinion)

I freaking LOVE this book
I love it I love it I love it

The love in this book for the LGBT+ community is so heartwarming.

The writing style is something of its own, like, you really need to get used to it, luckily I had a friend who'd read it before me and told me who's perspective it was, without her explanation I probably wouldn't be able to get through the book.

BUT I MEAN when you understand the writing style, it will give you goosebumps. I had goosebumps from the first three pages. I had goosebumps attacks throughout the whole book, honestly.

This book really gave me the idea that those people were real and that I knew them, like they lived next door. It was so lovely to be sucked into a story like that. It was kinda hard to let the book go tho, my mind kept (and still now after finishing it) tracing back to the characters.

However, I did not cry.
Okay wait that is a lie, some parts were really emotional and because I felt so attached to the characters I really felt what they went through, and yeah, that can hit you RIGHT in the heart.

The quotes tho in this book, even simple things the characters said, it made me want to mark or underline the quotes and sayings in the book, they were SO GOOD.
Unfortunately I borrowed the book from my friend so I couldn't, but otherwise I would.

And then the end.
I. was. so. unsatisfied.
I NEED AND WANT MORE, I WANT MORE SO BADLY.
Maybe as a valentine special, that would be great.

All with all, David is a genius author and he explained everything so well, in beautiful truthful words that makes me want to shove this book in everyone's face. The world needs to read it, in hopes that they will understand.

David did a great job and I'm happy this book exists and I recommend all of you to read it and let yourself fall into the world of Two Boys Kissing.
