Swift and Saddled by Lyla Sage

funny lighthearted fast-paced

It was cute but mostly lacked depth for me. The very beginning
in which Wes and Ada start flirting and making out without knowing each other’s names was so funny to me. Like dude, you’re expecting to meet a woman from out of town and the day before you run into a woman from out of town… of course it’s going to be the same person!! This town is very small!! Lollll ya idiots!!
Both characters felt very hollow with one random defining thing about them (divorce and depression specifically) that seemed to be mistaken for depth. I was craving a bit more cowboy content and more… just more! Their connection was sweet but never felt real. I enjoy Layla Sage’s writing style enough to keep up with this series, but this installment feels pretty forgettable.
