The Teacher by Freida McFadden
4.0
Usually when a book or author is overhyped, I end up in the minority wondering what all the hype is.
At first this book was just meh, the bullying made me cringe, then I thought here comes the cliche with the teenage girl having the crush on the teacher. We also had another teacher who makes her learning math very hard.
Without spoiling it, all I can say is the hype is justified. We have I seen that storyline done already until a twist has you shaking your head and reading faster just to see where this story will end.
Along the way you have at least three people conning each other, threating them if they tell the secrets, questionable relationships, the BULLYING, people turning a blind eye to certain situations and in the end I am not sure if the right person was served justice or even if justice happened. I do know the ending is solid except for the last conversation in the last two paragraphs. If you read into the way I did, did Jay really exist?
