The Book of Blessings: New Jewish Prayers for Daily Life, the Sabbath, and the New Moon Festival = Sefer Ha-Berakhot: Sidur Be-Girsah Hadashah Li-Yemot Ha-Hol, Le-Shabat Ule-Rosh Hodesh by Marcia Falk

informative inspiring slow-paced
Even if I never used a single one of Falk's blessings (haha j/k I already do), this book would still be a worthwhile read for the permission for creativity that it gives. Coming from a religion where almost everything is openly and proudly made up to Judaism, where I sometimes feel like just changing the intonation at the end of a sentence is heresy, Falk's open-hearted reinterpretations of traditional liturgy helps me feel like a lot more doors are open than I'd originally thought.
