Den of Vipers by K.A. Knight

"They're going to learn that money can't buy obedience. I'm no man's object. They are going to regret the day they took me."

I actually really enjoyed this book. It was the type of mafia romance I crave. The characters were all well written and developed. I loved that we had so many different perspectives. I also really appreciated that the author made the four men so vastly different. Most importantly though I adored Roxy. She was this strong independent take no nonsense character. The way she manages to wrap these four men around her finger is just beautiful. I am incredibly partial to her relationship with Diesel and nothing will ever change my mind. Those two are a little ball of chaos and insanity that I just adore when they are together.
The relationships she develops with the other three are so incredibly different and it makes each one special. I think that each dynamic between the five of them plays so well together that it creates this really great story with an incredible amount of spicy scenes. Each of them gives something to the dynamic that helps to make it more. I think the book addresses some heavy topics but uses these to help you understand why the characters are the way they are. I think it shows how differently we can all react to similar situations. Each main character suffered some trauma that caused them to become a fighter. I have two issues with this book... the use of the word "cream" I'm not sorry... I hated it. The other issue is that it felt super long. At one point I thought the book had to be over, only to discover it still had like twenty percent to go. So be prepared for that. Overall though I adored it and Roxy is my new favorite female character.
