don't know why i read this considering my not-so-great review for "the sun and her flowers" but i needed an excuse not to work on my stupid science essay so...

this was waaaay worse than "the sun and her flowers." i mean, i love the themes of this book (as i did with the other): feminism, love, grief, loss. but it just felt so much more... empty?

most of the poems were really short and i was missing that poetic feel i got from the other book. considering this one came out before "the sun and her flowers," that just probably means rupi kaur improved as a writer. but still. definitely disappointed.
