I hate podcasts that have this level of sound effects because in every case it completely takes away from the story. This wasn’t an exception. In the final chapter has everything is coming together I completely lost what was going on because I couldn’t hear anything of what the characters were saying over the sound effects. Could have been a fun book but instead I was constantly adjusting the volume and straining to hear the dialogue.
