my dad always told me that I wouldn't like this book when I was a child, so I never read it until senior year of college... my father was wrong... this story was amazing... how anyone could not appreciate the work Tolkien put into this story is beyond me... I love the fantastic imagery and even though I read the novel after seeing Fellowship on film I still pictured everything as I would if I never saw the movie... I love the barrel in the river...
