I nanny an 18-month-old little girl and she loves this book. She makes me read it to her at least once a day. I am not wild about the idea of trying to catch a mermaid, but it's not in a mean way or anything like that. It is creative, with beautiful illustrations, and one children will (obviously) ask for again and again.
